We’ve just returned from an amazing week in Las Vegas for the Microsoft Inspire conference.
Inspire is one of Microsoft’s biggest partner events, with over 20 000 people coming from around the world to learn and connect. It was held mainly at the beautiful Mandalay Bay Resort, with some activities held in the vicinity. We had the opportunity to take in many workshops, key notes and the corenote by Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, as well as a concert by Bruno Mars!
We also held our own special event and made some valuable connections. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment!
Now that the desert dust has settled a little, we’d like to share some of our key takeaways for those who missed out:
1. Microsoft is focused on delivering one message to both their internal organization and the partner group at the same time. The focus is on unification and clear communication.
2. Focus on delivering encompassing business solutions rather than individual apps.
3. During Satya Nadella’s corenote speech, he spoke about maintaining a People-Centric approach to everything we do. We need to look at maximizing direct time spent with customers as opposed to internal meetings.

4. We need to use the tools available, like Teams, to their full potential to increase our efficiency and be a cohesive organism.
5. Maximize the use of Azure Consumption to manage all your resources.
